I really wanted the hot links but they were all out. I'll order the brisket and sausage dishes were the mixed vegetables and sweet potato souffle. Now sweet potato souffle was not all that sweet. The mixed vegetables were pretty decent. Didn't really get the full smokiness of a good barbecue from the brisket and the sausage. The barbecue sauces for a bit on the weak side.

I went in and got a to meet plate everything was delicious. Service was great. Grab your food sit down and eat atmosphere mediocre. I understand everything is getting more expensive the only thing I was disappointed in was the amount of meat for the price. But even with that being said I would definitely stop here coming by again.

So visited the place before and wasn't impressed the first visit but gave another chance today 8-21-24 and well it was worse than before. Spent 30 dollars on a brisket sandwich and loaded baked potato and well let's start with it's so over priced and quality is so poor that I can't believe they are still in business. The loaded potato was so mushy that it was like eat mashed potato's the chopped brisket was the poorest quality I have ever ate. I had fat in every bit some I was just fat after putting all the fixings in it just was a mess. Couldn't eat so we just went next door to Taco Vasa and got super nachos along with a taco for 11.00 which fed me and my wife. Unbelievably the worse BBQ I have ever eaten. Facility is a Dukes Travel plaza and that was clean and inviting but the service at CottonBelt well could be a bit more intuitive to their products and change their a bit more regular cause the veggies looked a day old and the brisket meat wasn't good cutter should have realized how bad it was and not even served it but I guess profit over quality might be their motto. This is the last time we spend a dime in a Cotton Belt BBq restaurant.

** Beware Long review** So I would like to start by saying that the gentleman who cut up my meat was matter of fact. Though he didn't greet me nor didn't smile he moved quickly and efficiently. The other gentleman who prepared my side's was friendly and greeting me as I walked up and definitely had a welcoming attitude. Two fellow truck drivers were eating in the restaurant, and this being my first time here I asked (in a low voice of course) their thoughts on the food. One said very good and the other while sucking on a rib bone 😋 shot me the thumbs 👍🏽 sign. So I'm thinking okay I can't wait to try this. After spending $37 and some changes on a two meat plate with extra side's and dessert I walked back to my truck prepared to get down and ugly on this food 😅. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Let's start with the side's the bake beans were not good at all I mean you couldn't taste any brown sugar, or molasses, mustard, barbecue sauce, onions just pork and beans with white sugar, throwed in the oven, the potatoe salad was juicer than needed to be and it was dill potatoe salad. it was definitely missing some key ingredients I didn't taste any celery, onions. pimentos, it was very dilly I can tell you that. The Cole slaw was not sweet or dill. It didn't have an identity. It wasn't good or bad it was present just because people expect it at a barbecue spot. the vegetable melody was salty and the vegetables were overcooked. NOW ABOUT THIS BRISKET AND RIBS!!!! The person who was responsible for grilling the meat needs to be brought up on attempt of murder charges 🙄. All i tasted was lighter fluid. Not a little bit I'm talking about if someone would have thrown a match near me my meat would have caught fire! The brisket seemed like it was saturated in lighter fluid. I haven't written a review in a long time but I simply couldn't let this go. And to add insult to injury the apple pie was gummy and not sweet didn't have lemon juice, brown sugar, no vanilla heck I didn't even taste cinnamon 😢. I raced back from dropping my load for what turned out to be the worst meal that I've had in a long time. That's what my fat self gets. Should have gotten me a salad 🥗.
