I eat there religiously every week. Good brisket and home made sausage. The atmosphere is friendly with plenty of seating. Nothing like eating good BBQ and visiting with strangers across the weathered picnic tables.

Came here while on the road for the Eclipse in early 2024. We stopped at a gas station to refuel and my stepdad got talking to some of the locals in the town and they recommended on going to Cooper's. They were 'closed' for repairs after a fire. And by dumb luck they were opening specifically for the eclipse that day. My family + 2 more for a total of 8 people spent around 500 dollars for everyone to get the meat, sides and drinks they wanted. Their brisket was so juicy and flavorful. Expensive for 8 people, yes. Worth the price, absolutely. We stayed through the whole eclipse with around 100+ others in the town that traveled for it.

We tried to eat there at 5:30 and were told they had already closed for the evening so we would have to come back the next day if we wanted to have their barbecue. So I did and it was well worth coming back for. Definitely pricey though, but very delicious and tender. I like the barbecue sauce that they dip it in but maybe it had just a hair too much mustard flavor for me cuz I HATE mustard and I could taste it. It didn't smell like mustard though so it was fine. They had great music, playing good rock and roll. Everybody was nice. I talked to some other customers while I was in line. It was a great place to go. I'll be back next time I'm in Mason county. Maybe we'll try the one in llano next time just to see if it's just as good

This place was very interesting. I saw people having a good time and eating happily. I waited outside for someone to take my order because there was a sign that said "order your meat here" and it was really hot and I was in a time crunch so I had to leave without ordering anything. I couldn't get a detailed review but it is still a good place.

This place rocked!!! It's barbecue so be prepared to pay but it was some of the best BBQ my wife has ever had!!!! We don't do pork so we were a bit limited but the beef ribs were the shiz-nit!!! Sides were solid, brisket was cooked excellently and we had a whole chicken which had a good combination of smoke and spice. All in all this is a well balanced BBQ place and it shows that they cook with care and love.❤️
