A simple meat market 2 miles south of I10 in the city main. Their red pepper chubbie sausages are great for the grill or in a sausage wrap. Most of their sausages are very lean or too lean imho but outside of that it's a great spot. They do have some small portions of meats but you best bet it to stick with HEB/Brookshire

What a hidden gem of culinary delight 👍 We've tasted BBQ all over and this ranks with the best 👌 We enjoyed a sliced brisket sandwich and a poorboy (sausage and chopped brisket), along with small (plenty for two) sides of coleslaw and beans. Nothing fancy but plenty tasty! Staff was friendly.

My super-healthy eating plan of low carb and high protein? Yeah, that went out the window faster than a plate of fried chicken at a church social. Luckily, lunch had some redeeming qualities. We hit up City Meat Market in Schulenburg, Tx, and let me tell you, it's the real deal. We ordered the works: thick-cut brisket from the fatty side, a jalapeño sausage, and a house-made chili dog, all prepared right in front of us at an antique wooden counter. And the verdict? That brisket was so tender it practically melted in our mouths, with just the right amount of salt, black pepper, and oak smoke. The smoke ring was basically a work of art. So, is City Meat Market really "The Best Little Meat Market in Texas"? Yeah, I'd say so.
