Flavor: A Service: A Tea: A Solo dining: B There are so many barbecue places in the greater San Antonio area but some stand out above the rest. And this is one of them for me. The brisket is moist and flavorful. The sides are unique and delicious. The nachos and loaded fries and magnificent creations. And the crew is just as great as the food. Be prepared to drop a few dollars but I promise it'll be worth it.

We had a delicious lunch here! It's a super cute place to dine in. Staff were welcoming and informative. The food is served to your plate in front of you at the counter. I had the pork belly with 2 sides - Slaw and Cheesy potatoes. It was all delicious, but the chest potatoes were PHENOMENAL! My husband had the brisket which he said was incredible with 2 sides - The potato salad (with dill) and creamed corn. We shared a banana pudding for dessert and it was delicious - Not over sweet like so many other places. This was homemade and awesome. It was honestly one of the best BBQ experiences we've ever had! We will definitely be back with family when they visit.

Our first visit to Castroville Barbecue Company was a great experience! It's located in a cute little town with a ton of free parking, which is always a plus. The place is super clean, including the bathrooms, and they have a small play area for kids, along with both indoor and outdoor seating options. We decided to order the brisket, chicken, regular beef link, jalapeño cheese link, cream corn, mac & cheese, and fries. They've got Pepsi products and cold drinks available, plus a bar for anyone looking to grab a drink. The brisket and cream corn were definitely our favorites! Unfortunately, the chicken was a bit on the dry side, and the jalapeño link didn't pack the spiciness we were hoping for. The regular beef link, mac & cheese, and fries were pretty decent, but nothing to write home about. One thing to note is that they serve BBQ sauce in those little cups, and there aren't any bottles on the tables, which was a bit unusual. On the bright side, our meal came with some complimentary sliced bread, pickled onions, and pickles, which was a nice touch.Overall, it was a fun outing, and we can't wait to come back and try more things next time!

This was our first time in this place and pretty much just stopped in by chance. We were absolutely amazed with not only the quality of the food, but the atmosphere and attention given to us by the staff. We're always hesitant to give BBQ places a try becoming quite often, to don't get what you pay for. Not the case here! This was not only great Brisket, pork ribs and chicken, but the sides hold their own tremendously! The potatoes and cheese, Mac and cheese, pasta salad and potato salad are top notch! This is de8a place worth visiting and we are looking forward to our next time out!

This is a darn good barbecue joint. Food is outstanding. Ambiance is good with inside and outside options. Customer service is great. There are some non-typical items that are refreshing options at this Texas barbecue restaurant. For example, Esquites, homemade pickles, and pickled red onion. The ribs were out of this world. Brisket was very solid. The jalapeno cheese sausage was rich and full of flavor, and big as hell. What a gem. I hope it's here for a while
