Brisket and ribs were excellent. Chicken was dry. The jalapeño cheese sausage was mediocre and cheese was not melted despite being first in line upon opening. The gouda mac and cheese sauce was soupy and liquid, not good at all. Charro beans were average. Fried rice was ok, a bit under seasoned, and very greasy/oily for my taste.Employees were not welcoming or that friendly, I think one was the owner, but not sure. Cashier and lady by the fountain drink area were very nice but that's it. That soured me to the experience and after spending more than $100 it was kind of a slap in the face. Restaurant was clean and the interior was a nice set-up. There is a front patio too.Bottom line : this is Texas BBQ and T. Monthly listed, and everything has to be on point. It wasn't. Sorry y'all, respectfully, I ain't coming back.

Saw The Samantha Brown Places to Love on TV. Stirred my curiosity—way overrated joint. The food is good but nothing extraordinary or out of this World to justify those prices. I had much better brisket. The fried rice in fact is absolutely terrible. I admit that I liked the Sweet & Sour Fried Ribs the most. Service though....despite the fact I explained it was our first time there, the service was as rigid and helpful as a concrete parachute—terrible, terrible service. Will not return.

Another stop during my vacation to Houston. The staff at the register were extremely helpful because my group was a bit overwhelmed by the options. We essentially ordered a small sampler platter. Had to get some ribs as well as some mac and cheese, brisket fried rice, a brisket banh mi, pork belly bao buns, and a chicken salad sandwich for myself. Both flavor of ribs were great and a welcoming introduction to the rest of the food. The banh mi was more a brisket sandwich with a few vegetables reminiscent of a traditional banh mi, but nothing more resembling such. Similarly, the pork belly bao buns were tasty, but I feel that frying the bun made it "fusion" in terms of texture adding a crispy crunch to the tender pork but it threw me off as the pork belly is already fatty and the bun being fried made it almost excessively so. My chicken salad sandwich was seasoned well with crisp tomato and lettuce, but again, I was slightly confused as the cold chicken salad sat between two toasted pieces of white bread. Two room temperature slices would have complimented the chicken salad much more. Lastly, the sides of mac and cheese and brisket fried rice had phenomenal potential, however, they were warm at best. If they were hot, the mac and cheese especially, could have been something I would want to take gallons of home with me, but it being the temperature it was made me lose the excitement I had for the flavor.I appreciate the great service we received in the restaurant and the atmosphere was amazing as well, I just think the food missed some crucial marks as well as being a tad more pricey than I would have liked to pay. Still a great spot nonetheless and would definitely recommend to anyone who is around the area and wants a nice meal.

Cool little place. The pork belly bites were great as were the fried ribs. Only complaint is the brisket was dry. Wrapping it would definitely help the brisket. We will be back to try it again.

The pork ribs, brisket, turkey, and smoked wings are amazing! Probably my favorite pork ribs so far. The jalapeno coleslaw was a perfect compliment to the fatty meats. Definitely give this Asian-Fusion Texas BBQ a try, you won't regret it!
