We order lots of BBQ items from Mr. Austin each year for our Annual Soccer Showcase in December and it is ALWAYS on point! The Jumbo Dogs are incredible, the Chili, and the Slopy Joes yummy - the tacos are devine!! Mr. Austin and is teamare awesome. Best way to show Texas Hopsitlaity to the folks from across the USA attending. They love it and so do we! Simply the best!!!

I had heard about this place but hadn't tried until I went to hear my friends band play. I walked in and smelled food Heaven! The menu is typical BBQ fare but the difference is all in the flavor. I chose a brisket slider, fried okra, and Frito Pie. The Frito Pie was the most amazing, brisket filled goodness I have ever had! I don't have enough adjectives to describe the flavor....slurp! That's all I can say! If I hadn't been in polite company I would have licked the bowl! The fried okra was perfectly fried! It crispy yet soft and seasoned perfectly! The brisket tasted different flavor from the Frito Pie. It also was melt-in-your-mouth goodness! Very often its hard for restaurants to keep distinct flavors but Austin's did a superb job! There is something to satisfy every palette. I will be returning....just don't know when!

$17 for 2 Sides & a Sliced brisket sandwich. Brisket was kinda dry, but soft to the touch. Didn't have much flavor. Seemed like the sauce added the flavor. The fries were just average fries. The Mac & cheese hit the spot though. But when your side has the best taste, there's probably an issue. I wish I could have sat and eaten because the inside was really nice. Overall it's just mid tier bbq, At least their sandwich platter was anyway.

Just your average good TX BBQ but nothing really exceptional or stand out. The meats (we tried the brisket and turkey) are good but pretty standard and a bit pricey in comparison to other spots. For our sides we got Mac n cheese and potato salad. The Mac n cheese was a bit soupy and mild tasting. The potato salad was big chunks and a mix of mustard and mayonnaise base ... If you like a LOT of sauce great. Personally this had way too much for my liking. The rolls were very store bought tasting. We took our food to go but the atmosphere was nice and they had a pool table which I thought was cool!

First time here. I'm Dallas for a few days. Food hit the spot. Missed me some home state BBQ. Brisket is my go to and it did not disappoint.
